It's the famous campfire shot from 1993, taken during what was one of the coldest, windiest desert trips ever. It's black and white because Glen took it during his "art" days. The pallets and cardboard were appropriated from Yuma, AZ in a vain attempt to create a windbreak. As I recall, all it did was to cause the wind to swirl the campfire smoke and dust into your eyes all night long. On the last night, we stacked all the pallets on the campfire. Man, did they burn! We had to stand way back from the fire.
